Jennifer Eremeeva

Jennifer Eremeeva is an American expatriate writer, historian, and lecturer who explores the intersections of travel, history, culture, cuisine, and culinary history. A longtime Latin enthusiast, she has travelled extensively throughout the islands of the ancient Mediterranean — Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, and Elba — and lectures widely on the Magna Graecia, the history of Sardinian cuisine, and the civilizations that shaped the ancient Mediterranean world. She studied Russian history at Columbia University in New York and photography at the Moscow Institute of Photography. She is the author of the award-winning memoir, Lenin Lives Next Door: Marriage, Martinis, and Mayhem in Moscow, and a pocket guide to Russian history, Have Personality Disorder, Will Rule Russia. Her work has also been featured on NPR and Reuters and in publications such as Fodor's Travel, AAA Magazine, Bucket List Travels, Russian Life, and Elysian magazine. Jennifer currently produces two weekly travel newsletters as well as a series of popular "8-Hour Guides" to major travel destinations.
