Emma Blake
Dr. Emma Blake is a Mediterranean Archaeologist whose work focuses on identity and connectivity in ancient Italy. She received her PhD from the University of Cambridge and is an Associate Professor in Anthropology at the University of Arizona, in Tucson. She has conducted fieldwork in Sardinia and Sicily for 25 years and currently co-directs the Arizona Sicily Project’s Excavations at Segesta, Sicily. Her numerous publications include Social Networks and Regional Identity in Bronze Age Italy (2014, CUP) and Identity Studies in Archaeology (2024, Cambridge University Press). She is co-Editor-in-Chief the American Journal of Archaeology.
